Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking delivery drivers to support America’s food distribution system. The role involves driving tractor trailers or straight trucks, delivering food and related products to customers safely and on time.

You will be the face of the company, building lasting customer relationships during routes across intrastate and interstate deliveries. The CDL-A driver is responsible for DOT compliance, safety checks, loading/unloading, and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes.
• Deliver products to customers on schedule and in good condition.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections and address any issues.
• Record hours of service and required paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and delivered with signatures.
• Complete loads, unloads, and returns as required.
