Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Palestine, Texas is hiring a Truck Driver for 2nd shift to operate a commercial motor vehicle delivering live poultry or poultry feed. The role requires adherence to DOT safety rules, record-keeping, and ability to work nights and weekends.

You must have a valid Class A CDL with at least one year of driving experience, be 21 or older, and be capable of loading/unloading, inspecting the truck, and working in a loud, outdoor environment. Benefits start Day One.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies.
