Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our Durham-based team. You will drive, inspect, and unload shipments to customer locations, while maintaining logs and complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must read, write, and understand English proficiently to perform tasks and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) per DOT rules, document receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
