Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and on time to customers. You will be home every night and serve as a company ambassador with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include dropping off/picking up equipment, operating trucks and trailers, maintaining logs, and adhering to safety regulations. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated commercial driving experience.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment and trailers in line with CDL-A rules.
• Maintain drivers' logs and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Adhere to safety regulations including FMCSR.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as a company ambassador.
• Other duties as needed.

As a Class A CDL Driver at United Rentals, your goal will be to deliver equipment to our customers in a safe, timely, efficient and courteous manner. What you\'ll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver\'s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
