Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and on time. You’ll be a company ambassador and will be home nightly.

Responsibilities include dropping off and picking up equipment, operating CDL-A equipment, maintaining logs and pre-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance. Qualifications include a valid CDL-A with 2+ years DOT driving, HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, and ability to lift 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs frequently.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety procedures.
• Safety-focused approach to driving and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including semis and trailers per CDL-A rules.
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment or supplies to customers.
• Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.

As a Class A CDL Driver at United Rentals, your goal will be to deliver equipment to our customers in a safe, timely, efficient and courteous manner. What you'll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
