Job summary

New Castle Building Products, Inc. in East Berlin, CT, is seeking a steady CDL A Driver to safely transport material to customer sites and load/unload at warehouses. You will follow DOT regulations, operate truck-mounted forklifts, and maintain accurate order checks with a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Class A experience or more.
• Forklift experience preferred for loading/unloading.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Prior experience with building materials is a plus.
• Must be detail and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Drive heavy-duty / commercial trucks and operate warehouse & truck mounted forklifts.
• Adhere to DOT regulations (vehicle inspections, ELD hours).
• Load material onto trucks and offload at job sites, checking order accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 80 pounds.
• Utilize logistics software apps, such as Descartes Mobile Link.
• Maintain professional demeanor and high level of customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a steady, highly-qualified_ CDL A Driver _for our East Berlin, CT location. In this role, your responsibilities will be to safely transport material to the client’s location, load/unload material from the warehouse to and from your truck as needed, and unload material when you arrive at the customer’s site. We prefer experienced candidates who are professional, courteous, and always drive safely.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
