Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers, ensuring safety, timeliness, and courteous service. You will be home every night and act as a company ambassador, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining logs and vehicle inspections.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience. Responsibilities include operating large equipment, following safety regulations, and

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment including semi-trucks and trailers.
• Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies to customers.
• Other duties as needed.

What you'll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
