Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to support Trench Safety needs, delivering equipment safely and efficiently. You’ll be a company ambassador, often interacting with customers, and you’ll be home every night as a local driver.

You will drop off/pick up equipment, operate trucks and boom/crane equipment, maintain logs, and adhere to safety regulations. Excellent customer service and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety procedures.
• Safety-focused with diligent attention to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment and trucks (CDL-A).
• Maintain driver logs and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies to customers.
• Operate boom trucks and cranes per manufacturer specs.
• Follow FMCSA and safety regulations.
• Other duties as needed.

As a Class A CDL Driver at United Rentals, your goal will be to assist in meeting Trench Safety needs of our customers by delivering equipment in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. What you’ll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers

• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-A

• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections

• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need

• Must also be able to operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications

• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures

• Diligent attention to safety
