Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move goods for leading brands and keep our nationwide network supplied. You will inspect vehicles, manage documentation, and deliver products to customer locations while adhering to DOT rules and safety standards.

Earn $80,000–$110,000 with top earners, plus a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Benefits start Day 1, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k) with profit sharing after 90 days; and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT reports.
• Inspect bill of lading and verify accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, following regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
