McLane is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers in the Sterling Heights, MI area. This role focuses on safe, reliable delivery of products to customer sites, with a driving-forward culture and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying regulations and maneuvering skills.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver
  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
  • Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
  • Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
