Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in the United States, Arizona, Phoenix area. You will inspect vehicles, drive tractor-trailers, and ensure accurate delivery operations while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

This full-time overnight shift offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits from day one. Applicants should be at least 21, hold a valid CDL-A, and have 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Class A CDL.
At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and maneuvering the vehicle.
Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting deliveries and exceptions.
Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

At least 21 years of age
Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
