Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ is hiring a Truck Driver, CDL to join our distribution team. This full-time role requires a valid CDL-A and at least 1 year (50,000 miles) of tractor-trailer experience, with proof of safe driving and compliance with DOT rules.

You will inspect vehicles, manage logs, load/unload deliveries, and ensure on-time delivery to customers at DC Sunwest and beyond. We offer day-one benefits and career stability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and maneuvering the vehicle on road and customer premises.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
