Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join a nationwide distribution network. You will inspect, drive, and deliver goods to customers, while maintaining logs and adhering to DOT regulations.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely deliveries across multiple client sectors. Eligibility includes a valid CDL-A and at least one year of tractor-trailer experience; benefits start from day one, including medical and retirement options.

• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Meet MVR and risk rating requirements.
• Ability to read and understand English sufficiently to perform tasks.

• Deliver to customer premises and unload cargo.

What You\'ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You\'ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial\'s driver\'s license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane\'s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
