Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move and deliver products to customer locations nationwide. You will inspect vehicles, maintain logs, and ensure accurate delivery with safety at the forefront.

Home time varies with routes, and you’ll join a team with strong client relationships and a long-standing industry presence. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance from day one, 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days, paid holidays, and additional programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hold a valid CDL-A license.
• Have at least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable tractor-trailer miles.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination and follow regulations.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
