Job summary

Food Authority is seeking experienced CDL A Delivery Drivers to support daily dispatch and home daily. Shift runs between 6pm-9pm with deliveries to Pineville, NC and surrounding areas.

In this role you will handle temperature-controlled shipments, ensure accurate counts at customer sites, supervise a Driver Apprentice, and maintain logs while complying with DOT safety standards. A road test is required before employment.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required and DOT medical card current.
• Must be 21+ years old with 2+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
• No CDL accidents or major violations in the last 36 months.
• Must be able to work overnight and on Friday and Sunday nights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shipment of temperature-controlled products and maintain product integrity.
• Count goods at customer locations and manage FIFO inventory.
• Manage Driver Apprentice/Helper and drive vehicles to designated destinations.
• Drive safely and deliver products within deadlines; load/unload and put product away per customer specs.
• Maintain driving logs and complete daily paperwork; follow DOT regulations and routes.
