Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across our national network. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT regulations, and timely deliveries. Compensation includes a strong base pay and comprehensive benefits from Day 1.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles and documents, operating the tractor-trailer, logging hours, and delivering goods to customer locations; background checks and drug screening may apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and maneuvering on roads and customer premises.
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts and temperatures.
  • Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.
