McLane Co. is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Illinois. The role offers a pay range of $85,000 to $100,000 with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 depending on experience.

You will drive, inspect, log, unload, and support client deliveries with adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates are at least 21, hold a valid CDL-A, have 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and maneuvering the vehicle on road and client premises.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
