Job summary

McLane is urgently hiring experienced CDL-A Delivery Drivers for our CK Columbus location in Ohio. Drivers average $90,000–$95,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500.

This role offers Day 1 benefits and the opportunity to build a long-term career with an industry leader. As a CDL-A Delivery Driver, you will safely deliver products to customers, maintain logs, inspect vehicles, and support operations.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying regulatory knowledge and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
