Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Durham, NC is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to serve restaurants, schools, and institutions with timely deliveries. You’ll build relationships with customers while delivering essential food products, and enjoy home daily on local routes. Start times typically between 2:00 a.m.

and 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. You’ll unload up to 100 lbs, use a ramp and two-wheeler, and follow DOT safety rules and company standards.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License required.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT and company standards.
• Registered through the DOT Clearinghouse with consent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities and more.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure timely deliveries.
• Unload up to 100 lbs; use ramp and two-wheeler on shift.
• Work day shifts on local routes, home every day.
• Start times typically between 2:00–4:00 a.m., Monday to Friday.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: 920 Ellis Road, Durham NC

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday-Friday. Start time between 2-4am & will work until route is finished

Pay: Guaranteed a minimum of $1,100.00 week!

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
