Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to service intrastate and interstate routes, delivering food and related products to customers while upholding DOT regulations and safety standards.

You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck, ensure on-time deliveries, and represent the company at customer sites with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Competenze

• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meets MVR requirements for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Able to secure new DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift and move freight up to 60–90 pounds.

Position Details

• Average pay $75,000 - $100,000+ Annually with Uncapped Pay Potential. Quarterly safety bonuses, unlimited referral bonuses ($2,500 per referral)
• 4- or 5-day work week with additional days available, up to 2 nights out per week. Approx. $145 for per diem and overnight compensation. New equipment!
• $5,000 Sign on Bonus for drivers over 1 year CDL A experience. Any person who has worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last 6 months is not eligible to receive this incentive.

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company — building lasting relationships with our customers! The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

JOB FUNCTIONS Major Functional Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety check (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at end of shift. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complies with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.
• Upholds overall safety standards and follows guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 6+ Months Commercial driving experience
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meets PFG Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requirements for past 3 years
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse Requirements
• Pass road test
• Able to secure new DOT Medical Card
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule required for the position
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• English language proficiency is required
