Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking CDL-A drivers for a dedicated Stuarts Draft, VA account. Home time is weekly with a 34-hour reset; drivers run MD, NJ, PA, VA, WV and DC with mostly no-touch freight and occasional unloads.

Average earnings are $1,510 per week (~$78,561 annually). Pay consists of per mile and bonus incentives; equipment is modern automatics; orientation travel and lodging are provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Must meet DOT qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and comply with federal testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; monitor hours of service and keep logs accurate.
• Transport freight on schedule across MD, NJ, PA, VA, WV and DC; plan fuel/rest stops; communicate with fleet manager when delays occur.
• Most loads are drop-and-hook; some small-format stores require driver unload assistance.
• Average about 1,900 miles per week on set lanes.
• Verify load counts, seals and paperwork; secure freight for transit; complete bills of lading and delivery documentation.
• Represent the client professionally at customer locations and report mechanical issues promptly.
