Job summary

Averitt Express in Indianapolis is seeking a CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver for a permanent, full-time role with predictable miles and weekly pay. Expect about 1,800 miles per week and around $1,500 in gross pay, with home time each week and most routes starting Friday.

Many deliveries are dock unloads; some require a pallet jack. HazMat and Tanker endorsements, plus a valid passport and TWIC, are required (passport/TWIC timelines apply; reimbursement provided).

Competitive Pay & Benefits

• Average $1,500 per week / $78,000 per year
• Starting pay $0.71 cpm
• Average 1,800 miles per week
• Stop pay: $27.50 per stop; average 4 stops per week
• Breakdown, layover and detention pay available
• Company sponsored per diem program

Home Time & Route Details

• Home every week
• Most routes start Friday
• Drivers will be home during the week

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

• Most deliveries will be dock customer unload, with some requiring pallet jack to the rear of trailer for customer unload
• Some drop & hook, but most live customer unload
• Product is chemicals in totes and drums (palletized)
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements, along with a valid passport, are required. Candidates can apply for a passport within 30 days of hire but must obtain it within 120 days.
• Must apply for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 30 days of hire and must obtain TWIC within 90 days of hire- will be reimbursed upon receipt
• Must be certified to pull a flatbed (training provided if needed). There is one flatbed route, all current account drivers can fill in if needed.
