Averitt Express is seeking a CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver to haul freight on consistent routes with predictable schedules. The role offers home daily time, a five-day workweek, and a set weekly route, with potential Saturday/Sunday work and paid training.

You’ll drive 2,000–2,250 miles weekly, earn $1,310–$1,460 per week, plus stop pay and detention/ breakdown pay, and enjoy benefits after 30 days. Routes focus on Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience within the past 5 years.
• Must have Class A CDL and be 21 years or older.
• No reckless driving violations in the past 5 years; no DUI in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Open/Close trailer doors; force requirement: 46 lbs.
• Count freight and complete fuel tickets.
• Hook/Unhook trailer; force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A).
• Perform pre-trip inspections and drive safely.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and operate CMV daily.
• Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle and trailer from ground level.
