Job summary

American Trucking Group USA, LLC in Meridian, MS is seeking CDL-A flatbed drivers for a dedicated steel freight operation. You’ll run dedicated stainless-steel loads with planned backhauls, enjoy weekend home time, and drive a newer Kenworth T680.

Orientation is provided with paid days. Pay is $2,000 to $2,100 per week, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers. Required experience includes 1+ year OTR, 6 months flatbed, coil-hauling, tarping, and solid driving history.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least one year of OTR experience within the previous five years.
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience.
• Steel-hauling experience required.
• Current coil-hauling certification required.
• Experience with tarping and load securement required.
• Must meet applicable driving-record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate dedicated steel flatbed freight with planned backhauls.
• Maintain safety and load securement per steel freight requirements.
• Complete orientation and transition to dedicated equipment.

Location: Meridian, MS

Home Time: Every weekend with a 34-hour reset

Dedicated steel freight and consistent weekend scheduling give experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers a strong combination of $2,000 to $2,100 per week, specialized freight, and home time every weekend. Planned backhaul freight helps maintain productive weekly movement while assigned equipment provides drivers with a consistent truck and trailer setup.

Dedicated Flatbed Operation

Primary outbound loads originate near Calvert, Alabama, and include stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets. After completing the outbound delivery, available backhaul freight moves drivers toward the next customer load rather than routinely returning trucks empty.

• Most freight is live loaded and live unloaded


• Approximately 75% of loads require tarping


• Smaller and lighter six-foot drop tarps are used for this operation

Tarp compensation is included in the account's pay program.

Weekly Schedule & Compensation

• Home every weekend for a 34-hour reset


• Pay is $2,000 to $2,100 per week


• $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers

Dedicated outbound loads combined with planned backhauls help support productive miles and a consistent weekly schedule.

Truck & Trailer Setup

Drivers are assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors and remain with the same trailer throughout each trip.

• 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers


• 12 winches and straps


• Two lightweight six-foot drop tarps


• Assigned truck and trailer setup

Drivers should already be comfortable with proper load securement, tarping, and the handling requirements associated with steel freight.

Orientation

Orientation is held Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day.

• Travel arrangements provided

Drivers complete orientation before moving into their assigned equipment and beginning the dedicated operation.
