Job summary

Coastal Beverage Company, Inc. is hiring a Delivery Route Driver (CDL-A) for full-time service in Wilmington, NC. You will deliver, unload, stock, and maintain beverage products at customer accounts, upholding professional appearance and outstanding customer service.

The role requires strong time management, basic math, and computer skills; drivers must meet DOT regulations and obtain necessary licenses while supporting CBC operations.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Computer skills including e-mail, route accounting system, and Internet.
• Maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance to support delivery operations and service customer accounts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active beer and wine sales license.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards.

Responsibilities

• Visit accounts as scheduled to deliver product.
• Be present in customer accounts throughout the day to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure all sales, transactions, and POS are compliant with ABC regulations.
• Drive safely and follow CBC safety policies, complete required training.
• Comply with DOT regulations and daily vehicle inspections and hours of service.
• Build positive relationships with account contacts and CBC sales team; escalate concerns.
• Rotate products, stock shelves, and merchandise back stock and coolers.
• Remove out-of-date or damaged product per management approval; clear waste.
• Price products for designated accounts as needed.
• Verify ticket, obtain customer signature, and secure payments; manage cash in vehicle.
• Settle route daily in an accurate manner.
• Care for company property and equipment; supervise route aides.
• Provide guidance to route assistants and ensure punctual delivery.
• Attend to all duties and responsibilities as assigned.
