Job summary

PepsiCo in Wytheville, VA is looking for a full-time tractor-trailer driver to deliver PepsiCo brands safely and on time. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with competitive benefits and opportunities for long-term growth.

You will drive long-distance routes, assist with loading/unloading, maintain DOT logs, inspect the vehicle, and comply with DOT regulations. Required: valid CDL Class A, age 21+, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid CDL Class A License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and follow DOT regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Physical ability to perform loading/unloading, repetitive bending, lifting 20–45 lbs
• Ability to work extended hours and overnight as needed

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor/trailer to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of finished products and materials/supplies
• Check and/or assist in the loading and unloading of the trailer, ensuring product is handled safely
• Obtain proper authorization for all deliveries and pick-ups and maintain required transport documentation
• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure proper and safe operating conditions
• Maintain a DOT drivers log, follow all DOT regulations, and ensure the safety and compliance of each load, including driving in adverse weather and staying overnight when required
