Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Label containers and complete manifests / work orders; schedule shipments.
  • Operate roll off boxes, tractor trailer, and various equipment as needed.
  • Perform end dump, van trailer, tankers work and warehouse duties.
  • Ensure safety inspections and report incidents or spills promptly.
  • Maintain contact with customers and internal teams to ensure service quality.

We’re looking for experienced, professional drivers that will share our commitment to our people, partners and planet. Traveling to locations on your assigned route, you will be responsible for packing, transporting and properly disposing of waste material in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities: CDL A
  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and completepre-printed manifests / work orders. Schedule shipments into or off site.
  • Pickup and drop off loaded and empty roll off boxes using a tractor trailer
  • Perform End Dump work as needed
  • Perform van trailer work as needed
  • Perform Tanker work as needed
  • Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Operates a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment.
  • Performs various regulatory compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, and safety violations to supervisor immediately. and resolve leaking containers/containers in non-DOT shippable condition.
  • Contacts(Internal/External):Ongoing contact with all levels of Customers on a daily basis in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels ofpersonnel.
  • Perform any other administrative duties assigned by management
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions): CDL B
  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and completepre-printed manifests / work orders. Schedule shipments into or off site.
  • Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment. Conducts lab pack operations. Pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment.
  • Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations.
  • Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
  • Performs various regulatory compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, and safety violations to supervisor immediately and resolve leaking containers/containers in non-D
  • Ongoing contact with all levels of Customers on a daily basis in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels ofpersonnel.
  • Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping
  • Operates a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment.
  • Occasional overnights required
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Qualifications: CDL A
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • Possess a Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • By law, you must be at least 21 years of age
  • Hazmat Endorsement
  • 2+ years of similar driving experience
  • Must be able to drive a Manual Transmission (no restrictions)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tanker and Airbrake Endorsements (If you do not have either endorsement you will be expected to obtain them at company’s expense as a condition of employment)
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test and DEA background check.
  • Basic Qualifications: CDL B

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations.
  • Some College or waste industry experience
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • Knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Maintains a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
