Qualifications

• 2-4 years recent CDI experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS, DRG and CPT coding

Responsibilities

• Facilitates improvement in quality, completeness and accuracy of medical record documentation through concurrent auditing and evaluation
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation for appropriate DRG classification
• Analyze clinical status, treatment plan and history to identify documentation gaps
• Write concise queries to obtain missing documentation from providers
• Timely reconciliation of cases with documented DRG or SOI impact
• Collaborate with HIM/coding professionals to review cases and ensure accuracy of coded data
• Promote accurate documentation with healthcare team and act as CDI consultant when needed
