Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Healthcare Information Management leader to manage clinical documentation improvement and data abstraction across hospital networks. You will oversee staff, ensure timely reviews of inpatient records, and drive education and audits in line with policy.

The role requires RHIA/RHIT/CCS certifications (RHIT/RHIA/CCS) and at least five years of inpatient HIM experience, with supervisory responsibilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management program or AHIMA Independent Study meeting RHIT/RHIA/CCS certification requirements.
• Five years of inpatient experience.
• Active member of AHIMA and local HIM Association.
• Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS (or equivalent) per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical documentation improvement and data abstraction activities.
• Ensure accurate/inpatient record reviews per policies and procedures.
• Supervise all CDI/abstracting staff; provide direction, audits, and education.
• Support QA and productivity targets across hospitals in the market.
