Job summary

BVA Bears IT Solutions is looking for a CDFI / Community Finance Specialist to lead community development finance initiatives. This role involves analyzing financial landscapes, structuring a CDFI, and engaging stakeholders to align community needs with financial solutions.

The position supports a hybrid work model, requiring travel across Allegany, Garrett, and Washington Counties. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and excellent communication skills. U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract stipulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in community development finance, CDFI operations, or capital access initiatives.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
• Knowledge of rural financing environments.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regional capital access landscape and identify financing gaps.
• Define CDFI organizational structure and design lending products.
• Develop capital strategy and financial projections.
• Provide input on governance structures and operational models.
• Develop financial and capitalization sections of the business plan.
• Engage financial institutions and stakeholders for technical guidance.
• Maintain audit-ready financial documentation and ensure compliance.
