VP Supply Corp in the Rochester area is hiring a Delivery Driver for our overnight Central Distribution Center (CDC). You will join a high-volume operation, driving a 26' box truck without a CDL, with routes that connect our 15 branches.

Expect autonomy, safety-first mindset, and reliability as you log routes, handle loading/unloading, and coordinate with the Dispatcher through the night.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving a 26' box truck or similar vehicle.
• Overnight schedule with safety-focused approach.
• Must pass motor vehicle and background checks.
• Territorial knowledge of Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany and surrounding areas.
• No CDL required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and log routes for overnight delivery trucks.
• Load and unload product for daily routes and secure loads.
• Move skids using pallet jack, hand truck and lift gate.
• Maintain paperwork including inter-branch transfers and truck logs.
• Provide information to Dispatcher with delivery times and photo evidence.
• Ensure truck cab and bed are cleaned daily after each shift.
• Prepare and schedule maintenance on vehicles as needed.

Our high-volume CDC (Central Distribution Center) will be the backbone of product movement within our 15-branch network, consolidating inventory replenishment, accelerating product flow, and driving operational efficiency. The top priority will be to ensure product moves accurately and efficiently out to and between the branches. The CDC will support high throughput, consistent product availability and reliable delivery, thereby reducing friction in the supply chain, and allowing our branches to provide outstanding customer service.

Position Overview

Our CDC is seeking to hire a Delivery Driver with 1-3 years of experience driving 26 ft box trucks. Note, no CDL is required for this position. We are looking for high performers with a strong sense of autonomy, solutions oriented, and with a focus on safety as a priority.

This is an overnight position. The schedule would be Sunday - Thursday 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and log routes for overnight delivery trucks, with focus on delivery time commitments.
• Hands-on loading and unloading of product that is received into individual daily routes and secure loads.
• Move skids using a manual pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate.
• Complete and maintain paperwork from the night's work including inter-branch transfers and truck logs.
• Provide information to Dispatcher throughout the night, such as delivery times and picture capture.
• Ensure truck cab and bed are emptied and cleaned daily at the end of every shift.
• Prepare and schedule maintenance on vehicles to determine needed repairs or inspections.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving a 26' box truck, or similar vehicle.
• Experience with using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and liftgates.
• Territorial knowledge of Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany and surrounding areas.
• Ability to climb on and off the back of a truck, using side steps.
• Must be able to undergo a motor vehicle and background check.
• Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location

Salary Description

$25/hr - $27/hr
