Position Overview

Monroe County School District Head Start / VPK Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional / Classroom Aide to support the Head Start program at Stanley Switlik School. The ideal candidate will assist the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged children. This position plays a vital role in supporting school readiness and promoting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities aligned with Head Start performance standards.
• Support children individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
