Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Naperville, IL is offering a Critical Care Nurse Transition Program for experienced acute care nurses transitioning into Critical Care Nursing. The program includes 8–12 weeks of training with a preceptor and 8 weeks of dedicated education time.

The role of RN - Cardiac Neuro ICU Transition Program is full-time, with a 36-hour work week and night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am. A projected start date is Monday, January 18, 2027.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
