Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Patient Care Technician / Senior Nursing Attendant in CCU for part-time days. The role supports nursing staff by performing direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, ensuring a safe, orderly environment, and assisting in the delivery of compassionate care.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA credential with a High School diploma, 6 months of relevant experience, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program, CNA certification and at least 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admission/Transfer/Discharge of patients and orient to hospital environment.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, positioning, safety and personal needs; respond to calls.
• Assemble O2 and suction equipment; provide basic hygiene and feeding assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, and positioning of patients; maintain safe environment.
