Job summary

Georgia Power Company seeks a Financial Analyst within the CCR Asset Retirement Obligation program to support environmental compliance and financial insight.

You will generate reports, analyze risks and opportunities, and partner with internal teams to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closings. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–5 years’ experience; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and FASB.
• 1–5 years budgeting, finance, accounting experience.
• Team-oriented and collaborative work setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes.
• Develop reports to support financial analysis across the organization.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners for CCR program understanding.
• Analyze financial risks and opportunities to influence decisions.
• Participate in month-end close and variance analysis.
