  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Proactive approach in strengthening business relationships with clients, delivering a simple, secure, and seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution.
  • Ensures timely completion of Know Your Client (KYC) and other regulatory requirements, in partnership with product partners and Relationship Managers (RMs).
  • Helps clients access Citi's global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe.
  • On-boards new clients/subsidiaries and completes KYC/initial credit set-ups.
  • Coordinates due diligence requirements for credit approvals and closings.
  • Engages with product partners and Citi's global network to identify revenue opportunities and to position products with clients.
  • Ensures periodic support discussions are held with clients and are correctly documented.
  • Mantains correct client legal and marketing hierarchies.
  • Partners with Credit Admin to ensure credit documentation is current: FX, derivatives, Loans, Letters of Credit, and other credit documents.
  • Partners with Credit Admin to monitor credit line usage, and collaborates with Independent Risk during client Annual Reviews.
  • Assists in implementation of cash transactions for Banker.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with laws, rules and regulations.

Job description

The Relationship Associate is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
