Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA, invites an Assistant Staff member to join the Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction Systems Group. The role focuses on multidisciplinary problem solving across sensors, sensing architectures, and data analytics to counter CBRNE threats.

You will model and test technologies, contribute to simulations, and work with stakeholders from government and research partners to advance homeland protection capabilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Physics, Math, Data Science, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Optics, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently and with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to apply systems-level thinking to chemical and biodefense challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, test sensors and sensing architectures for WMD threats.
• Explore AI, data analytics, sensor fusion, and autonomous systems for C-WMD.
• Evaluate technologies to improve situational awareness in operations.
• Forecast and evaluate threat behavior using computational methods.
• Develop models and simulations integrating constraints and operations.
• Prototype and field-test homeland protection systems.
