Position Purpose

The CB Area Supervisor leads an hourly team and influences the entire distribution team to perform the fast-paced work required to run the distribution center efficiently, safely, and productively. This role manages team members, ensuring prompt, efficient, and accurate handling of merchandise, and develops team goals. Responsibilities include hiring, evaluation, development, discipline, and termination of hourly associates, overseeing 20 to 30 associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing Process (45%): Ensures operational procedures are followed, recommends process improvements, and evaluates work methods to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Coaching and Developing Associates (25%): Guides daily operations, trains, coaches, evaluates, and addresses associate relations issues. Handles hiring, discipline, and termination.
  • Drives Results (15%): Maintains inventory accuracy, reviews reports, and improves key metrics like productivity and quality.
  • Business Planning (15%): Coordinates operations, reviews reports, and plans staffing to meet business goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure
  • Typically reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Supervises 20-30 hourly associates, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing work, and making recommendations on HR matters.
Travel and Physical Requirements
  • Overnight travel less than 10%.
  • Mostly sitting, with occasional light lifting or movement.
Working Conditions
  • Indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years old, authorized to work in the U.S., flexible with shifts, and able to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems experience, and 3+ years supervisory experience.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of work experience; no leadership experience required.
