Job summary

Liberty Latin America in the US (Puerto Rico) seeks a Service Technician to support customers by diagnosing and solving technical and network issues, guiding users through solutions, and performing necessary repairs.

You will install, maintain, and repair CATV distribution systems, read signal levels with testing equipment, and collaborate with technicians to uphold company standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related technical experience in the CATV industry.
  • SCTE-BPI Certification is a requirement.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of CATV distribution system.
  • Assist with the training of technicians.
  • Collaborate with other technicians in field activities.
  • Stabilize the system using testing equipment and perform sweeps.
  • Fix services problems and report to NOC for provisioning.
  • Read signal levels with field strength meter and adjust levels as needed.
  • Ensure installations meet company standards and quality via signal levels.
  • Respond to and correct customer service problems daily.
  • Climb poles and operate bucket truck as required.
  • Maintain records of performance tests and inventory.
  • Demonstrate safety and company policies in all tasks.
