Job summary

Music Ministry International seeks a Music Director for the Luke AFB Catholic Community. This 1099 contractor role requires directing music, leading rehearsals and services, and coordinating with the Lead Chaplain/Priest to support liturgies.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of college in music, strong vocal leadership, and the ability to organize a Catholic-style praise team, with fluent English and effective volunteer management.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of college in music or related field.
• Able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship.
• Able to plan organize and lead a Catholic style praise team.
• Be able to sight read, arrange, improve, play, and score music.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical directorship for the Catholic Service at Luke Air Base Chapel.
• Follow the direction of Lead Chaplain/Priest and lead the praise team.
• Coordinate all support requirements with the Lead Chaplain/Priest or their representative.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers within the music program.
• Attend meetings related to the music program as identified by the contracting officer.
