Job summary

Diocese of Tucson seeks an Assistant Superintendent for the Department of Catholic Schools, Tucson, AZ. This role leads Catholic identity, academic excellence, and governance, reporting to the Superintendent of Schools.

The candidate will coordinate testing, support MTSS and ARK assessments, and provide professional development for principals, while advancing WCEA accreditation and Catholic ministry goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
• Arizona State Certification – Principal, Superintendent preferred.
• Level I Ministry Certification or better preferred.
• Valid Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Support Catholic mission and ensure adherence to Church teachings.
• Coordinate annual standardized testing for elementary schools.
• Provide coaching and professional development to school leaders.
• Support WCEA accreditation processes and governance.
• Maintain organized office operations and confidentiality.
