Job summary

Bishop Reicher Catholic School is seeking a Substitute Teacher to fill in for classroom teachers during temporary absences. You will provide support, care, and instruction aligned with the school’s mission and follow detailed plans from the assigned teacher.

This role requires dependability and positivity, reports to the principal, and acts as an extension of our team within the school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Knowledge of instructional methods/strategies and curriculum differentiation.
• Able to work well with others in the school community.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Ability to manage student behavior in classroom setting.
• Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Bishop Reicher Catholic School.
• Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Support and adhere to the Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school.
• Follow instruction set by classroom teacher with logically sequenced objectives based on adopted curriculum.
• Provide appropriate material and resources for students to engage in learning.
• Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
• Maintain current and accurate records according to school policies.
