Job summary

This non-exempt role requires strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with availability for evenings or weekends as needed. Associates' degree or higher preferred and eligibility for required background checks.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills; team player and well-organized.
• Available for evening and weekend work as necessary.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with word processing and basic computer tech; maintain confidentiality.
• Flexible in assessing needs and adapting in school settings.
• Able to pass criminal history and background check.
• Professional bearing and neat appearance.
• Associates' degree or higher preferred.
• Must complete background checks every five years and PGC workshop prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with student supervision and lessons.
• Assist with supervision of parent helpers and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist with the lunch program and playground supervision.
• Communicate effectively with students and organize learning materials and field trips.
• Support a consistent disciplinary approach to promote self-direction and learning.
• Help maintain a functional, pleasant learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
