The Diocese of St. Augustine seeks a Part-Time, Exempt PE Teacher for San Juan del Rio Catholic School to support faith-based education.

Under the supervision of the principal, the teacher will integrate Catholic teachings, develop engaging lesson plans, manage classrooms, and collaborate with staff to foster a faith community. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Must maintain Professional Educator certification in the State of Florida.
• Must have or be able to obtain within two years Basic Diocesan Ministry Certification.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass criminal background check and Protecting God’s Children workshop.
• Proficient in use of school-related software.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Catholic mission by aligning instruction with Church teachings.
• Collaborates with the principal to foster a faith community.
• Maintains security and confidentiality in all matters.
• Works collaboratively in a positive, professional manner.
• Follows diocesan and school policies while supporting the mission.
• Prepares lesson plans to meet academic goals as adopted by the school.
