Job summary

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy Chesterton School in Rockford, IL is seeking a full-time Elementary Teacher to join our Catholic classical education community for the 2026-27 academic year. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with 3–5 years of teaching experience preferred, and a passionate commitment to Catholic classical education.

The role includes teaching responsibilities and active participation in school spiritual life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree required.
• Three to five years of teaching experience preferred.
• Experience in Catholic classical education is preferred.
• Candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary level with full-time status.
• Participate in the House system to promote character and virtue.
• Attend Mass with the student body and assist in spiritual retreats and school activities.
