Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field
• Valid Missouri teaching certificate or applicable early childhood credential
• Experience working with young children in a preschool, early childhood center, or school setting preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred, with commitment to Catholic education mission

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons promoting cognitive, language, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development
• Integrate Catholic faith, prayer, Scripture, and Christian values into daily routines
• Establish a welcoming, structured, nurturing classroom environment encouraging exploration and love of learning
• Observe and document children's progress to guide instructional planning
• Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Promote positive behavior and self-regulation rooted in Catholic values
• Collaborate with families through regular communication about progress and concerns
• Work with aides, specialists, and staff to support inclusion and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and classroom information
• Supervise students to ensure safety in all activities and settings
• Keep a clean, compliant classroom aligned with health and licensing requirements
• Participate in conferences, staff meetings, and professional development
• Follow school policies, diocesan guidelines, and safe environment requirements
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in interactions
