Job summary

Air Combat Effectiveness Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, monitor essential clinical conditions, and communicate effectively with medical staff during cardiac and IR procedures.

Must hold a current California RN license and have previous critical care experience. BCLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. The role includes preparing the lab for procedures and assisting in training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license required.
• Must maintain BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior experience in Critical Care or Cath Lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate with healthcare staff.
• Prepare unit for procedures and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Assist in training new staff and departmental activities.

Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provides direct care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Department setting.
• Provide care for patient pre and post cardiac and IR procedures.
• Communicate with physicians/Nurse Directors / coworkers as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology and be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment; will rotate on variable shift as required for coverage.
• Ensures the unit is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff. Assist in all aspects of invasive and cardiac procedures ie TEE, Cardioversion procedure.

Education, Experience, Training

• Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
• BCLS, ACLS, upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Critical Care experience. Cath lab preferred. If not must complete Critical Care Course Certification within one year
