Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, OH seeks a Cath Lab Unit Coordinator to provide shift leadership and oversee daily operations in the Cath Lab. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with interdepartmental teams, and adherence to regulatory standards, with RN leadership duties and opportunities to influence care delivery in a cardiology-focused environment.

Qualifications include BSN preferred, RCIS preferred, BLS/ACLS, and prior charge or supervisory experience;

Competenze

• Current BLS/CPR required
• Previous charge/supervisory or management experience preferred
• ACLS if working in the cath lab is preferred
• 3 years Cath Lab, critical care, or Echovascular experience required

Cath Lab Unit Coordinator - Cath Lab - Full Time

Provides shift leadership and oversight for daily unit operations as designated by the Department Director. Ensures quality of delivered patient care to patients of ages from adolescent, adult to geriatric collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration and others. Participates in patient care activities both directly and indirectly as a resource to staff members. Delivers direct/indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process or designated scope of practice through data collection and assessment; identification and prioritization of patient’s problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of patient plan or a nursing plan of care (RN). Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality age specific care. Delegates effectively to appropriate team members. Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/ accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.

Requirements Include

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Registered Cardiovascular Services Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred (Cardiovascular Services Only)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
• Previous charge/supervisory or management experience preferred
• Certification in specialty is preferred; other as noted below for specific units is required or must be obtained with 1 year of hire:
• Cardiovascular Services: ACLS if working in the cath lab

Previous work experience in a patient care setting preferred for medical/ surgical areas; other experience as noted below for specific units:

• Cardiovascular Services: 3 years Cath Lab, critical care experience, or Echovascular experience required.
