Job summary

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures in the cath lab; interprets dysrhythmia and EKGs and operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator; monitors patient status and handles supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; demonstrates medication knowledge and sterile technique.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory; aids post-procedure safety and hemostasis.
• Prepares lab for procedures and marks arterial pulses; troubleshoots equipment.
