Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in Southlake, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. The role is PRN with Mon–Friday availability and on-site work in a modern cardiac cath lab setting.

Qualifications include ARRT Radiologic Tech or RCIS certification/eligibility, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year cath lab experience preferred. Education can be RCIS program or ARRT with RCIS:**

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program.
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.
• Support team during cardiac cath lab activities and patient care as needed.

Education

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
